Turkeys, Thanksgiving and Thankfulness

Check out our fabulous "Family Turkey Projects!" Students and families did a wonderful job working together to make their terrific turkeys! They are so creative and unique!!!!

This week our theme has been turkeys. We've read books about turkeys, researched about turkeys and wrote about turkeys. Here is our turkey writing displayed in the hallway. Around the writing you will find fact family turkeys. Each turkey uses three numbers to create a fact family with two addition and two subtraction number sentences.

Last but certainly not least we've been talking about Thanksgiving and what it means to be thankful. We have written "I am thankful for..." sentences on leaves and added them to our thankful tree in the hallway. Here is our thankful tree and a few leaves.

This Friday is College Shirt Day! I also want to wish you and your family a happy, fun and safe Thanksgiving. I am very thankful to teach and have your child in my class. They are all such a joy!
Happy Thanksgiving!
