First Week

What a WILDLY, Wonderful first week of first grade for the 2013-2014 school year. I am so excited about the 20 new friends in my class. We have been getting to know each other through brown bag activity and games. We've enjoyed songs, poem, brain breaks, cheers/claps, read alouds, name activities, writing, math manipulatives, creating a social contract and practicing our procedures! Whew! What a fun, busy week! Enjoy your three day weekend! See you Tuesday in September!!

Each student made a flower-- number of letters in their name=number of petals. Number of syllables=number of leaves. We created a beautiful bouquet in our classroom!
